The present work features a seated figure with her chest exposed and her face turned away from the viewer. The title of the work, “Sotto Voce” is the action of intentionally lowering one’s voice for emphasis, as if to say something under the breath. “Sotto Voce” is a study in the human form and the subtleties of human communication.
